Gift Purchase Policy

Gift Purchase Policy

This Gift Purchase Policy applies worldwide to purchases from https://store.normalsurvival.com when you buy Digital Benefits for a Minecraft account other than the one you used to check out. It is part of the Store Terms of Sale and Refund Policy for Normal Survival, NormalSMP, World Venture Projects, operated by World Venture Projects.

Effective date: 2026-08-14 · Bundle c3e9f1a2-8b47-4d15-9c6e-0a2f7d4b8e91

What a gift purchase is

A gift purchase is any checkout where you choose delivery to another Minecraft username instead of the account you are logged in with. The named recipient is asked whether they want the Digital Benefits. Until they answer, delivery is held.

Buying for your own logged-in account is not a gift under this policy.

You transfer the license

By completing a gift checkout you agree that you are directing delivery of the Digital Benefits away from yourself. You are not buying a transferable resale right, a cash balance, or an item you can later reclaim as a refunded unused product.

Ranks, crates, keys, cosmetics, credits, wallet grants, and similar Digital Benefits remain licensed, not sold, as described in the Store Terms. A gift only changes which Minecraft account the license is fulfilled to.

With the recipient's permission

If you confirm at checkout that the recipient asked for the purchase or agreed you may buy it for them:

  • We still ask the recipient to accept before commands, ranks, credits, or wallet grants run on their account.
  • If they accept, Digital Benefits are fulfilled to their Minecraft username (and UUID when known).
  • If they decline, the purchase is treated as collateral (below). It is not refunded.

Without the recipient's permission (including surprises)

If you confirm that you do not have permission, or that the purchase is a surprise:

  • You still cannot unwind the sale as a change of mind or unwanted gift. You expressly agreed at checkout that ownership of the fulfillment path has moved.
  • We still notify the named player and ask whether they want it.
  • If they accept, Digital Benefits are fulfilled to them.
  • If they decline, the purchase is treated as collateral (below). It is not refunded.

Do not use gift checkout to harass, spam, or pressure another player. Abuse may be actioned under the Acceptable Use Policy without restoring a refund.

Collateral if they do not want it

If the recipient declines, or we reasonably treat the gift as unwanted (for example a clearly mistyped account after staff review):

  • Digital Benefits are fulfilled to your logged-in Minecraft account instead. That is collateral, not a refund.
  • Wallet funds you spent stay spent. Card or PayPal charges are not reversed because the recipient said no.
  • Product commands run with your {player} / {uuid} (and {buyer} placeholders still refer to you).

Collateral is how we keep a completed digital sale whole when the named player refuses delivery. It is not store credit unless a product itself grants wallet balance to the fulfilled account.

No refund because you gifted

Except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise, gift purchases are not refundable after payment succeeds, including when:

  • the recipient never logs in or never answers;
  • the recipient declines and you receive collateral;
  • you typed the wrong username;
  • you did not have permission;
  • you expected the recipient to pay you back;
  • you bought the gift by accident.

Discretionary accident refunds in the Refund Policy (duplicate charges / unconsumed technical errors) do not apply once you directed delivery to another username, because you agreed the fulfillment path left your account.

Chargebacks on gift orders are handled under the Chargeback Policy.

How the recipient answers

The named player may accept or decline:

  • In-game with /storegift accept or /storegift decline (optionally with the order id);
  • On the store account page after linking the matching Minecraft username.

We may also let staff complete accept or collateral delivery if the recipient cannot use those tools and both sides agree in a support ticket.

Until they answer, commands are not run on either account. Payment is still complete.

Usernames, Java, and Bedrock

You are responsible for the exact Minecraft username. Java and Bedrock are separate unless a product page says otherwise. We are not required to guess, migrate, or refund a mistyped or cross-platform name.

If the recipient has never joined or never linked a store account, we still record the username you entered and fulfill when they accept and we can identify the account.

Subscriptions

If you gift a recurring plan, billing stays on the paying customer (you). Only delivery of that period's Digital Benefits follows this policy. Later renewals follow the same recipient if they previously accepted, or you if they declined (collateral). Cancel from your account page to stop future charges.

Mandatory statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits non-waivable statutory rights you have as a consumer in your country. Where a no-refund or transfer term is invalid in your jurisdiction, it does not apply to you. Where it is valid, you agreed to it at checkout, and we record the legal bundle UUID and version in force at that time.

Records

Each gift order stores the buyer, recipient username (and UUID when known), whether you claimed permission, the recipient's accept or decline, your consent IP and time, and the NormalLegal bundle UUID and version then in effect. Those records govern the purchase.
