Data Retention & Law-Enforcement Requests

This policy explains how long Normal Survival, NormalSMP, World Venture Projects may keep operational data and how we handle deletion requests and law-enforcement / platform requests. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Child Safety Policy.

How long we keep data

We generally retain logs, moderation records, connection signals, purchase and delivery records, fair-play / client-review records, and related operational data for as long as reasonably useful to run the Services, enforce rules, prevent fraud, defend disputes, and comply with law.

That means we may keep data indefinitely where systems allow, unless:

  • We choose to purge or rotate it for storage, cost, or operational reasons
  • Mandatory law requires a different period
  • We grant a deletion request as described below (subject to the exceptions)

We do not promise that every chat line, packet, or backup exists forever. Retention is “as long as we can / as long as we need,” not a warranty of perfect archives.

Exact technical retention may vary by host, Discord, and payment processors (Stripe and PayPal), which have their own policies.

Requesting deletion

You may request deletion of personal data associated with your account via Discord:

Open a staff ticket and identify your Minecraft username(s), Discord account, and store email if you have purchases.

We will review requests in good faith. Deletion is not absolute. We may retain or refuse to erase data when reasonably necessary for:

  • Active bans, appeals, or investigations
  • Fraud, chargeback, or payment disputes
  • Child-safety, security, or abuse cases
  • Legal holds, tax, or accounting
  • Establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims
  • Mandatory law that requires retention

Where we cannot fully delete, we may limit use to those purposes. Mandatory privacy rights in your jurisdiction still apply where they cannot be waived.

Law-enforcement and platform requests

Law enforcement, child-protection organizations (for example NCMEC CyberTipline referrals), courts, and platforms may contact us by email:

We may disclose data when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, necessary to protect someone’s safety, or appropriate to report CSEA / CSAM. We may ask for a warrant, subpoena, or other process where required and where doing so does not increase risk of harm.

We are not a law-enforcement agency. We may preserve evidence and cooperate; we do not guarantee a specific agency outcome.

Urgent life-safety emergencies: contact local emergency services first, then notify us.

Player access requests

Subject to identity verification and legal limits, you may ask what personal data we hold about you via Discord (https://discord.gg/gh8jbGyE8n) or [email protected]. We may refuse or limit disclosure that would reveal other players’ private data, security methods, or ongoing investigations.

Changes

We may update this policy by posting a new version with a new effective date and bundle UUID. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted.
