Child Safety Policy

Effective 2026-08-14 · child-safety-policy

Child Safety Policy

This Child Safety Policy explains how Normal Survival, NormalSMP, World Venture Projects addresses child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA), grooming, and related harms on our Services. It supplements our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, Security & Abuse Policy, and Privacy Policy.

Effective date: 2026-08-14 · Legal bundle c3e9f1a2-8b47-4d15-9c6e-0a2f7d4b8e91 (v1.3.6)

We take child safety seriously. This policy applies to game servers, Discord, forums, store pages, and related Services operated by World Venture Projects.

Zero tolerance

The following are strictly prohibited and may result in permanent bans, content removal, evidence preservation, and referral to law enforcement or child-protection organizations where appropriate:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including images, video, text, links, or generated content depicting a minor in a sexual context
  • Sexual content involving minors, including roleplay, fantasy, or “age-play” involving anyone 17 or under
  • Grooming or attempting to build a relationship with a minor for sexual purposes
  • Soliciting, sharing, requesting, or trading sexual images or personal contact details of minors
  • Asking minors for real-life meetups, private voice/video, or off-platform contact for sexual or exploitative purposes
  • Sexual harassment of minors, or directing adults toward minors for sexual contact
  • Sharing links to CSAM or known exploitative sites

We do not require a reporter to be certain of someone’s age. If you reasonably believe someone is a minor and the conduct is sexual or exploitative, report it.

Age and parental guidance

Eligibility to use the Services depends on jurisdiction and Minecraft’s rules. See the Terms of Service age section and our Privacy Policy children section.

  • Parents and guardians should supervise younger players’ use of chat, Discord, and voice.
  • We do not operate a full government ID age-verification system for every Minecraft login. Misrepresenting age to evade restrictions is prohibited.
  • Store purchases may require adult payment authorization under payment-provider rules.

What we may do

When we receive a credible report or observe prohibited conduct, we may:

  1. Remove content and restrict or ban accounts (including related accounts)
  2. Preserve logs, messages, usernames, UUIDs, IP signals, and other evidence as reasonably needed for enforcement and legal compliance
  3. Escalate to senior staff / [email protected]
  4. Report to platforms (for example Discord), payment processors, hosting providers, or law enforcement / child-protection organizations (including NCMEC CyberTipline in the United States where applicable)
  5. Cooperate with lawful requests from authorities

We use conditional language: we may report; we do not guarantee prosecution or a specific agency response.

How to report

Report child-safety concerns immediately. Do not redistribute CSAM to us or others. Describe what happened and where; include usernames, Discord IDs, timestamps, world/server, channel names, and message links when available.

  • Abuse / child safety: [email protected]
  • Support: [email protected]
  • Legal: [email protected]
  • Discord: https://discord.gg/gh8jbGyE8n (use staff ticket / report channels where available)

Deletion and evidence retention: Data Retention & Law-Enforcement Requests. Ban reviews: Ban & Appeal Policy.

  • In-game: report to online staff when safe to do so

If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

Staff duties

Staff Members bound by the Staff Agreement must:

  • Treat child-safety reports as highest priority
  • Escalate suspected CSEA or grooming immediately; do not “handle privately” or delete evidence without direction
  • Avoid unnecessary further viewing or downloading of suspected CSAM
  • Not tip off suspected offenders in a way that destroys evidence
  • Keep reports confidential except as needed for investigation, platform escalation, or law-enforcement referral

Failure to escalate known child-safety abuse may result in immediate removal from staff.

Limits of this policy

This policy is a community and operational commitment. It is not:

  • A warranty that the Services are free of harmful users
  • A promise of continuous human monitoring of all chat
  • Legal advice to parents or players
  • A substitute for Minecraft’s EULA, Discord’s Terms, or local criminal law

We may update enforcement practices without publishing detailed detection methods.
