Community Content & Marketing Policy
Community Content & Marketing Policy
This Community Content & Marketing Policy ("Policy") explains how World Venture Projects may use player-created content from Normal Survival, NormalSMP, World Venture Projects—including builds, bases, spawn areas, screenshots, and in-game footage—for server operations and promotional marketing.
Effective date: 2026-08-14 · Legal bundle c3e9f1a2-8b47-4d15-9c6e-0a2f7d4b8e91 (v1.3.6)
This Policy supplements our Terms of Service and DMCA Policy. By using the Services, you agree to the license described here and in the Terms.
What counts as community content
"Community Content" includes anything you create or submit in connection with our Services, such as:
- In-game builds, plots, spawn submissions, and world edits
- Screenshots and recordings captured on our servers
- Images or clips you post in official Discord channels, forums, or tagged social posts we request
- Event or contest submissions where rules reference this Policy
This Policy does not replace separate Staff Agreement, paid builder contracts, Creator & Brand Use Guidelines, or giveaway/contest rules when those apply.
License you grant us
You retain ownership of your Community Content. By creating or submitting it on or through our Services, you grant World Venture Projects a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to:
- Host, reproduce, display, and moderate Community Content to operate the Services
- Use Community Content as permanent or temporary server features (for example official spawn, hubs, warps, or showcase areas)
- Modify, adapt, combine, or rebuild Community Content for gameplay, performance, theme updates, or integration with other world features
- Use screenshots, video, and recordings of Community Content in promotional and marketing materials, including:
- Reddit posts and ads
- YouTube trailers, shorts, and channel content
- Discord announcements and embeds
- Store pages, forum banners, and website graphics
- Paid and organic social media (where permitted by platform rules)
- Crop, color-grade, overlay text/logos, and edit media for marketing without changing your underlying ownership of the original build
The license lasts for as long as we reasonably need it to operate and promote the Services, unless you submit a valid removal request (see below) or we agree otherwise in writing.
Original work
You represent that Community Content you submit is your original work, or you have all rights needed for us to use it as described. Do not submit:
- Purchased or downloaded schematics you are not licensed to redistribute or publicly feature
- Builds copied from other servers, creators, or marketplaces without permission
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other third-party rights
We may remove content and take moderation action if we receive credible infringement reports. See our DMCA Policy: [email protected].
Credit
We may credit builders by in-game sign, patch notes, social post, or video description at our discretion. We are not obligated to credit every feature or every promotional use unless we agree in writing (for example a named commission).
If you want credit or wish to remain anonymous for a specific feature, contact [email protected].
No obligation to use
We may choose not to use any Community Content. Submission does not guarantee placement as spawn, hub, or marketing feature, or any payment or rank reward unless a separate promotion or contract says so.
Removal requests
We honor good-faith removal requests for Community Content used in marketing or promotional materials. To request removal or cessation of future promotional use, email [email protected] with the subject line Community Content Removal Request.
Required information
Include all of the following so we can process your request:
- Your Minecraft username and reasonable proof of account ownership (for example login to the server while staff verifies, or reply from the email on your store account)
- Description of the build or content (coordinates, world, plot ID, or warp name if applicable)
- Where you saw it used (Reddit URL, YouTube link, Discord message, store banner, etc.) if known
- Whether you want future marketing use stopped, credit/username removed, both, or in-game feature removal (if feasible)
Our response process
We commit to the following for valid requests:
| Step | Timeline | |------|----------| | Acknowledgment | Within 5 business days of receiving a complete request | | Resolution or status update | Within 14 business days where practicable |
What we will do when a request is valid and reasonably practicable:
- Stop future promotional use of the specified content on channels we control (our Reddit, YouTube, Discord, store pages, and website)
- Remove or replace posts, banners, thumbnails, and pinned media we published that prominently feature your content
- Remove or anonymize credit featuring your username in our materials, if requested
- Discuss in-game removal of a featured build if it is not critical world infrastructure; integrated spawn or hub areas may require replacement planning
What we cannot always guarantee:
- Instant removal of third-party reposts, cached search results, or ads already served by external platforms
- Removal of content in historical backups we must retain for legal or security reasons
- Removal of your username from incidental background shots where blur/removal is not reasonably practicable
We handle each request in good faith and will explain our decision if we cannot fully comply. Escalations: [email protected].
Removing marketing use does not necessarily require removing a build from the live server if it is integrated into world infrastructure; we will work with you on alternatives where feasible.
