# Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Normal Survival, NormalSMP, World Venture Projects game servers, websites, forums, Discord communities, and related services (collectively, the "Services") operated by World Venture Projects ("we," "us," "our") for users worldwide, subject to the restrictions below.

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, Store Terms (if you purchase), Refund Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Security & Abuse Policy, Child Safety Policy, Ban & Appeal Policy, Data Retention & Law-Enforcement Requests Policy, Voice & Proximity Chat Policy, Creator & Brand Use Guidelines, Client Software Review List, Community Content & Marketing Policy, Cookie Policy, Advertising & Analytics Disclosure, and other posted policies, each incorporated by reference.

Worldwide availability

We offer the Services on a global basis to users in jurisdictions where we may lawfully operate. Services are not offered to persons in countries or regions subject to comprehensive US, EU, UK, or UN sanctions, or where our Services are prohibited by local law. We may block access by IP, payment method, or account signals where required for sanctions, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit rights that cannot be waived under the mandatory laws of your country or region of residence.

Local law compliance

You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Services complies with all applicable local laws, including online gaming, gambling, consumer protection, tax, and export rules. If local law prohibits you from using the Services, you must not use them.

We do not provide legal advice about your obligations in your jurisdiction.

Trademarks and trade names

Normal Survival, NormalSMP, and World Venture Projects are trade names used to identify our services. We do not claim registered trademark status for these names unless explicitly stated. All other product, company, and brand names are trademarks of their respective owners.

Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang AB / Microsoft. We are not affiliated with them.

Eligibility and age varies by jurisdiction

You must comply with applicable law and Minecraft's EULA. Minimum age to accept these Terms depends on where you live (for example, 13 in the United States under COPPA frameworks, 16 in parts of the EEA for some online services, or higher where local law requires). If you are below the age at which you can validly consent in your jurisdiction, you may use the Services only with verifiable parental or guardian consent. See our Child Safety Policy for prohibited sexual exploitation and grooming.

Accounts and security

You are responsible for safeguarding credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify [email protected] promptly of unauthorized access.

Rules, moderation, bans, and forfeiture

We may enforce server rules and these Terms through warnings, mutes, kicks, temporary bans, permanent bans, item or rank removal, economy resets, or other proportionate actions.

Ban and forfeiture. If your account is banned for violating these Terms or server rules, you forfeit access to the Services and, unless we expressly restore access in writing, any digital benefits tied to the banned account (including purchased ranks, perks, virtual currency, or items) without refund or compensation. This applies regardless of whether benefits were labeled "lifetime," "permanent," or similar, except where mandatory consumer law prohibits forfeiture without remedy.

Previously banned players. Creating or using alternate accounts to evade an active ban is prohibited. We may ban all related accounts and forfeit associated benefits. To request a review, see the Ban & Appeal Policy (appeals via Discord: https://discord.gg/gh8jbGyE8n).

Server changes, resets, and shutdown

We may modify gameplay, worlds, plugins, economies, ranks, or features at any time. Periodic server resets may occur; progress and items may be lost unless we state otherwise in writing.

We may suspend or shut down the Services or any server instance with reasonable notice when practicable. Upon shutdown, all access and digital benefits end without refund except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

User content and conduct

You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to use your content to operate and promote the Services, as described in our Community Content & Marketing Policy.

That license includes, without limitation:

Hosting, displaying, moderating, and reproducing content in-game and on related platforms
Using builds and creations as server features (including spawn, hubs, and showcases)
Modifying or adapting content for gameplay, performance, integration, or world updates
Using screenshots, video, and recordings in marketing and promotional materials (including Reddit, YouTube, trailers, social media, store pages, and paid ads), and editing such media (crop, overlay, color grade) for those purposes

You represent that content you submit is your original work or you have rights to grant this license, and that it does not infringe third-party rights.

We may credit creators at our discretion. See the Community Content Policy for removal requests and contest/paid-builder exceptions.

You must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy, Security & Abuse Policy, Child Safety Policy, and Client Software Review List. That list is illustrative: we may review named or unlisted client software, and listing a name does not mean it is allowed or prohibited.

Staff members with elevated permissions are additionally bound by our Staff Agreement when applicable.

Payments

Purchases are governed by the Store Terms and Refund Policy. Payment processing may be handled by Stripe and PayPal.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SPECIFIC TRANSACTION GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE 180 DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT, OR (B) USD $100. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITS; IN THOSE CASES OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MINIMUM PERMITTED BY LAW.

Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless World Venture Projects, its operators, volunteers, and suppliers from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Services, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of third-party rights, where permitted by applicable law.

Injunctive relief

You agree that breach of rules regarding cheating, exploitation, real-world trading (RWT), chargeback abuse, DDoS, doxing, unauthorized access, coordinated disruption of our business, or intellectual property may cause irreparable harm. We may seek injunctive or equitable relief in addition to other remedies without posting bond where permitted.

Expanded sanctions (US OFAC, EU, UK, UN)

You represent and warrant that you are not:

Located in, ordinarily resident in, or organized under the laws of any country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions administered by the United States (including OFAC), the European Union, the United Kingdom, or the United Nations; or
Listed on any government restricted-party or sanctions list; or
Using the Services on behalf of any prohibited person or entity.

We may terminate access without notice if we reasonably believe you violate sanctions or export-control laws. Services are not offered to persons in countries or regions subject to comprehensive US, EU, UK, or UN sanctions, or where our Services are prohibited by local law.

Inactive accounts

We may delete or anonymize accounts inactive for 180 consecutive days, including associated player data and unpaid virtual items, after reasonable notice when practicable, subject to retention required by law.

English controlling language

These Terms are drafted in English. If we provide a translation for convenience, the English version controls in case of conflict, except where mandatory local law requires otherwise.

Mandatory local law carve-out (global)

If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable or conflicts with non-waivable consumer or data protection rights in your jurisdiction, that provision is limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and your mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.

Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a new version with a new effective date and bundle UUID. Material changes may require renewed acceptance where required by law. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted.

Governing law

For users in the United States, these Terms are governed by the laws of Kentucky | Oregon, United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules, subject to the Dispute Resolution policy and mandatory federal law.

For users elsewhere, governing law and forum are described in our Dispute Resolution policy; mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence always apply where they cannot be waived.
